About

Number addict, paper lover, greeting card obsessed...

I was born in the late 80's and grew up drawing, doodling, painting and creating. Always encouraged to be creative, my childhood consisted of finger painting, blow pens and spirograph...oh, and play dough, followed by watercolours and pencils as I got older.

When I was about 15 years old, I decided I wanted to run my own business making greeting cards - I even managed to incorporate greeting cards into my school art projects, much to my fine art teacher's dismay. I created my GCSE art project around artists such as Mary Engelbreit...My A Level Art project was about Thomas Goletz, creator of Diddl the mouse and Mike Payne, the guy behind the famous 'Tatty Teddy' Me to You bear. I even missed my A Level Art exam to visit Carte Blanche Greeting's head office in Chichester, after receiving an invitation to discuss their products and marketing with their directors...so you could say Greeting Cards have always been my passion!

When my friends were spending their weekends at the cinema or pizza hut, I was off to trade fairs, reporting on new products and trends for my website. Focused on toys, collectibles and greeting cards, I would spend my time following the toy and gift market, going to events and meeting inspirational business people. It was blogging in the days before 'blogging' was even a term, but I had the most fun and was inspired to have my own business one day.

It's amazing to think that all these years on, I am living my dream! My 'day job' is making personalised cards for customer's special occasions. Every day I am grateful that people want to give my cards for such momentous occasions - big Birthdays, Special Anniversaries...I've even made dozens of marriage proposals for romantic couples!

In 2011, I created my 'Days I've Loved You' card, inspired by my love of numbers and counting days. I love numbers and always count down days until events, or since things happened. From this, our bestseller, I've now created many other versions such as Days You've Been My Mum, Dad, Sister, Husband, Wife, etc which have been especially popular at Mother's Day, Father's Day and Valentine's Day, as well as Birthdays all year round.
